Every car carries the signature of the hands that made it.
Project A28, the first hand-built Khumalo hypercar. Built in Cape Town.
We don't build cars. We build beauty, together. The Khumalo ethos
The headlights are shaped after the human eye: almond, calm, a little mysterious.
One surface flows into the next like fabric in motion, shaped by wind and time.
A sculpture first and a machine second, and the two are inseparable.
Our first hypercar is a sculpture before it is a machine. Its form follows the human silhouette: fluid curves, soft transitions, balanced proportion. It is not aggressive and it does not shout. It moves with quiet power.
Inside, analogue controls are tactile and mechanical. Every visible part shows the hand of the maker, from engraving and stitching to the lay of the carbon.
A28 is the working codename. The car's name will be revealed at its unveiling.
The car sits as if it settled naturally onto its wheels. It is low without aggression and confident without excess, holding a quiet tension between softness and power.
Gold traces the bonnet and the window line like jewellery on a body. Nothing is loud.
Every Khumalo starts as pencil on paper. These are pages from the development of Project A28, from the first profile lines to the cockpit and chassis layout.
Khumalo is a hypercar, beauty and craftsmanship company. We build original, South African-styled cars with a pure African artistic feel, and we push past what a conventional car can be.
We favour the old-school engine build over the modern electric one. We take on difficult challenges, because our mission is to shift the market and bring back the old feeling of exclusivity and comfort.
Every car carries the signature of the hands that made it.
African creativity and heritage in every surface, stitch and detail.
Natural leather and wood, and a welcome that feels like family.
A car should be beautiful and functional, and worthy of existing as art.
Built to last for decades, by people who don't give up.
Kwazi founded Khumalo to build cars the way the great independent makers do. He is a long-time admirer of Horacio Pagani and shares his belief that a car should be both beautiful and functional, whatever it takes.
For Kwazi, a car is not designed around how many will sell. It is a work of art that deserves to exist for its own sake.
Colour is part of the story. Each exterior is paired with an interior leather and an accent metal. Nothing loud, nothing screaming.
